COLLECTIVE AUTISM EXPERIENCE

A Community Group

OUR MISSION

At The Collective Autism Experience (CAE), we support caregivers of children with autism—from birth through age 18—by creating a space where you feel understood, informed, and empowered.

Through educational lunch & learns, guest speaker sessions, hands-on workshops, community events, retreats, monthly play dates, and caregiver nights out, we offer both the knowledge and the connection families need to thrive at every stage of the journey.

OUR FOUNDERS

  • Dr. Nikki Sammet, Ph.D., is the founder of Oak & Hive Consulting, where she helps parents of autistic children cut through the overwhelm and find the right resources, therapies, and schools to fit their family’s needs. With a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in Leadership Development, and over a decade of coaching, speaking, and community-building experience, Nikki blends expertise with heart in everything she does.

A proud mom of two and happily married, Nikki is a homebody at heart—happiest when she’s spending time with her family, reading a good book, and connecting with others for real, authentic conversations.

  • Cheryl is a happily married neuro-based speech-language pathologist and proud mama to two beautiful girls, Ella Grace and Amelia. Life is full of love and learning with Amelia, who lives with a rare genetic disorder called cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome (CFC) and autism, bringing a unique light to their family’s journey. When she’s not helping adults find their voice, Cheryl’s tending her garden, cooking a new recipe, or hitting the road for RV adventures with her favorite people!
