Hi! I’m Dr. Nikki Sammet
I didn’t set out to start Oak & Hive Consulting—it was born from my own journey as a mom searching for answers after my child’s autism diagnosis. I remember feeling overwhelmed, confused, and completely alone. I had a background in clinical psychology, but even with a Ph.D., nothing prepared me for the emotional whirlwind of navigating life after diagnosis.
That experience changed everything. It opened my eyes to how many families were also struggling in silence, unsure of what to do next. So, I decided to build the kind of support I wish I had—one rooted in real-life experience, professional guidance, and genuine connection.
Today, I work with families as an Autism Family Navigator and Educational Consultant, helping them find clarity, confidence, and a path forward. You don’t have to do this alone—I'm here to walk with you.

Finding the right school can feel overwhelming. I help families identify private and independent school options that honor their child’s learning style, needs, and strengths—always through a neurodiverse-affirming lens. With insight into a wide range of programs, I streamline the process and guide families toward environments where their child can truly thrive.
Trainings & Workshops
I offer interactive, neuro-affirming trainings for providers, educators, and parent groups. Sessions focus on inclusive practices, supporting autistic learners, and building collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams that center the child and empower the family.
Born from personal experience, Oak & Hive Consulting was created with one mission in mind: to walk alongside parents navigating the complex world of autism support. As a parent of an autistic child, I know firsthand how overwhelming those early days of diagnosis can be—filled with questions, uncertainty, and a lack of clear guidance. What began as my own search for answers quickly became something more: a calling to build a space where families feel seen, heard, and supported. Here, you’re not alone.
